We chose the post office because we thought it was an interesting way to communicate with friends or relatives who are far away, sending letters, typical things from each place ... it seems fun and essential. Apart from letters you can send packages, gifts for family and friends and even bicycles if you want. But letters are a very good way to communicate with distant family or friends. There is only one post office in all of Bertamiráns and it is quite large. It is in the "plaza de la maia".There is a person who is the mailman or wallet that Bertamirans normally walks, but I also saw some people who ride motorbikes, who travel bertamirans delivering letters, they work for mail.

Explanation
Víctor was born in Namibia in 1965. When he was 13 he went to Angola with his cousin to take part on the civil war. There he learnt to use a gun to survive, but he didn't have to use it. At the age of 18 he emigrated to Cuba to study marine biology. He returned to Namibia 11 years later and worked as a marine biologist for 23 years. After that he came to Spain to improve his studies at Santiago University and he got married with Rocío González here. Now he is an English teacher who gives particular lessons in Bertamiráns, near Chavián. He can speak six different languages including Spanish, English and Portuguese. We chose him
for this interview because he teaches us English and we see him once or twice a week. We think he is a nice person. Thanks to him we learn about other cultures and languages.

Explanation
The graffiti of Biosbardos is the most colorful and extensive one of Bertamiráns.
Biosbardos is a place where many parties are celebrated, like halloween and carnival, and also birthdays. We choosed this place because we think that is an iconic space for the inhabitants of Bertamiráns.
In the picture, we can see almost all the the graffiti, there is another part behind the left corner and we couldn't photograph it.

Explanation
This clinic is located at the entrance of the village of Bertamirans.
It has many professionals where we can distinguish dentists, orthodontists, receptionists and a secretary. Also it has a lot of custumers since the people who work in this place have a lot of experience and make them feel comfortable and very well taken care of these customers who are habitual and repeat whenever they need to return.
In this clinic In this clinic many oral operations are done as for example draws, dental implants, placement of tooth appliances, mouth cleaning ....Also in this local it has five rooms and two waiting room where the patients can read different magazines, books and watching TV to relax while they wait and the torture is not greater.
The initials CDL mean dental clinic lamela since it is the surname of the owners of the establishment living in Ortoño near the local.

Explanation
In this photograph you can see the Bertamiráns market. Its located in two main streets: Rúa Entrerrios and Rúa Ameneiral.

On Saturdays you can visit the market from three o'clock in the afternoon until eight o'clock. The day the picture was taken it was raining and there were only around twenty stalls, but when it's sunny there can be up to fifty stalls.

The market stalls sell a variety of inexpensive clothes, accessories, bed linen, organic produce such as tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and bread. There is a stall that sells traditional salted fish known as 'bacalau'. Local residents and families visit the market to buy such products and get together as a social event, and eat the delicious churros!

The sellers move on to other markets in the nearby areas such as Noia and Padron.
